Marty Hiatt is the owner and operator of Bahama Bob's Marine with over 30 years experience in the marine/fishing industry. For 11 years he has operated a successful marine canvas business from his premises on the Causeway in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. He is also a very successful offshore mate with a proven tournament
winning record. Starting in 1989, he mated for the "Junebug"
and won the Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament. Most recently Marty Hiatt, along with Capt. Brian Harrington of Extreme Measures, both mated for the "Scarlet Fever" in numerous tournaments. They were able to place 7th in the 2001 North Carolina Governor's Cup.
Utilizing his experience in both canvas and fishing, Marty has developed "The Grandstander" series of fighting harnesses capable of withstanding the punishment inflicted when battling giant Bluefin Tuna. In addition, Marty has developed a very successful Fishing School that encompasses all aspects of Big Game Offshore fishing. With the assistance of Capt. Brian Harrington, an Inshore/Sound school is now provided also.
