The App is a 220-watts student-operated station broadcasting from studios in Wey Hall on the ASU campus. The station is on the air 24 hours a day when Appalachian is in session.
The App's regular format is made up of Alternative/Modern Rock, which studies show is the most popular music format on campus. 90% of the students reporting Modern/Alternative Rock as their favorite format listen to the App. In addition to our regular format, we also schedule specialty shows. From evening talk shows to jazz and country, The App draws a very diverse audience. Students also tune in to catch the latest entertainment news and sports on our daily broadcasts.
