Zebulon B. Vance Birthplace


This pioneer farmstead, a five-room log house, is tucked in the Reems Creek valley. The building is reconstructed around original chimneys, and the outbuildings are furnished to the 1795-1840 period.

Zebulon B. Vance served as governor of North Carolina from 1862-1865 and 1877-79 and was know as North Carolina's Civil War Governor.
