Appalachian State University is a comprehensive university, offering approximately 100 undergraduate majors, more than 75 graduate majors and a doctorate in educational leadership. Appalachian also offers a wide range of special programs to promote the intellectual, cultural and personal development of each student.
Appalachian State University is streatched accross 340 acres including a 250-acre main campus. Principle buildings include 17 residence halls, three dining facilities, 15 academic buildings and several recreational facilities. The university also operates living learning centers in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
